Environmental protection
Stroytransgaz meets the requirements of the Russian and international environmental legislation ensuring environmental and industrial safety at all stages of its activity.
In 2004 Stroytransgaz was the first in the industry in Russia to develop and implement the Environmental Management System (EMS). The system is certified by Moody International Certification Group, the competent international certification organization, to meet the requirements of international standard ISO 14001:2004. In particular, the Company's regulations are developed and routinely updated based on the existing system, including the Environmental Policy and Environmental Goals of Stroytransgaz.
Recognizing the importance of the environment protection and usage of natural resources rationally, Stroytransgaz put into practice low-impact technology for its construction works. Such technologies and measures lower and fully prevent the negative impact on the environment and at the same time increase the efficiency of construction operations.
The Company organizes corporate environmental training for its employees in conformity with the position and duties. In 2010 4268 individuals passed targeted environmental education.
Activities to protect the environment are carried out systematically. Monitoring and controlling the environment during production have been thoroughly refined; internal and external environmental audits are carried out. In particular, in 2010 the company underwent a scheduled external audit of the Environmental Management System by Moody International Certification Group. Stroytransgaz successfully passed the audit.
