• 12/5/2000 - On November 26, 2000, Algerian company Sonatrach announced that Stroytransgaz won an international tender for the construction of section of Haoud El Hamra - Arzew oil pipeline project in Algeria.

November 2000

• 11/28/2000 - At the finishing stage of the construction of the Blue Stream project in Turkey using the CRC-Evans automatic welding equipment the welding division of OAO Stroytransgaz achieved the max rate on November 26, 2000.

October 2000

• 10/24/2000 - Welding and assembling works at the construction of Samsun-Ankara gas pipeline (a section of Russia - Turkey gas transportation system project the Blue Stream) has entered the finishing phase.

June 2000

• 6/30/2000 - By the decision of the shareholders’ meeting of OAO Gazprom, Arngolt Bekker, President of OAO Stroytransgaz, was elected a member of the Board of Directors of OAO Gazprom.

May 2000

• 5/30/2000 - The shareholders of JSC Аstrakhannefteprom and OAO Stroytransgaz, Administration of Astrakhan region have decided to establish the Commission on carrying out the international contest, aimed to attract a strategic partner for investments of supplementary exploration and production of hydrocarbon raw materials in the Northern-Astrakhan perspective lease.
• 5/12/2000 - On May 4th, 2000, the acting President of the Russian Federation has signed the Federal Decree No. 60 FZ - Leases for Mineral Resources on Conditions of Allotment of Commodity (Northern-Astrakhan Blanket Lease).

March 2000

• 3/30/2000 - A new type of instrument for measuring the gas flow rate, based on the use of ultrasonic effect was developed in ОАО Stroytransgaz.
• 3/23/2000 - The joint venture WIES & MOS Ltd. (registered in the city of Ulyanovsk), an affiliate to the Association Stroytransgaz, has finished the construction of the underwater crossing of the main line of Gorki-Yaroslavl oil pipeline across the Oka river in the vicinity of the city of Nizhni Novgorod
• 3/3/2000 - An agreement was signed between the Savings Bank of the Russian Federation and ОАО Stroytransgaz on extension to OAO Stroytransgaz of a credit line for purchase of equipment for the 1st and 2nd stages of the plant for production of household and industrial gas meters and heating boilers.

February 2000

• 2/1/2000 - ОАО Stroytransgaz has concluded the preparation period for the construction of 372 km onshore section of the Russia-Turkey Blue Stream gas pipeline in the Russian territory. The commencement of welding operations is planned for February 3, 2000.
• 2/1/2000 - ОАО Stroytransgaz and Turkish companies Hazinedaroglu and Oztas have started the civil construction and welding works of the 500 km linear part of the Russia-Turkey Blue Stream gas pipeline in the Turkish territory. The first joint was welded on January 31, 2000.
