ОАО Stroytransgaz has concluded the preparation period for the construction of 372 km onshore section of the Russia-Turkey Blue Stream gas pipeline in the Russian territory. The commencement of welding operations is planned for February 3, 2000.

ОАО Stroytransgaz and Turkish companies Hazinedaroglu and Oztas have started the civil construction and welding works of the 500 km linear part of the Russia-Turkey Blue Stream gas pipeline in the Turkish territory. The first joint was welded on January 31, 2000.
