Welding and assembling works at the construction of Samsun-Ankara gas pipeline (a section of Russia - Turkey gas transportation system project the Blue Stream) has entered the finishing phase. The organizational scheme of the construction, worked out by OAO Stroytransgaz has allowed to rich high pace of works execution. On October 24, 2000, the highest rate of welding of 48" pipes since the commencement of the construction was reached. During one shift (10 hours) with the help of automatic CRC-Evans unit 154 (1.8 km) of high quality joints had been welded.
