The official bringing into operation of Zaplyarnoye, the biggest field of hydrocarbons in the continental part of Russia, took place in the location 100 kilometers off the village of Tazovsky, the Yamal – Nenets Autonomous District. Bringing into operation the 1st complex built up by the JSC "Stroitransgaz"'s contractors will enable the production of 35 billion cubic meters of natural gas already by the end of the 1st year of operation. This complex is unique in world practice. It consists of 104 wells, dozens of kilometers of intra-field pipelines and gathering lines and the main gas pipeline Zapolyarnoye – Urengoi.
