Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, flew in Novy Urengoi (Yamal - Nenets Autonomous District) to take part in the meeting dedicated to the problems of development of the country’s gas industry. Straight from the airport V.V. Putin made a helicopter ride to survey the field Zapolyarnoye recently brought into operation by the JSC "Stroitransgaz"’s contractors. The President noted that bringing the largest deposit into operation was not the event just for the industry but for the whole nation. "In the former times it used to be called a labor exploit", said V.V. Putin.
