December 2002

• 12/17/2004 - At the construction of the Yamal – Europe main gas pipeline Stroytransgaz has completed the works on installation of the Smolenskaya gas-measuring station located in the vicinity of the compressor station of the same name at km 337 of the gas pipeline route.
• 12/19/2002 - Stroytransgaz has completed construction and installation works on construction of the first stage of the second gas treatment Complex 2C at the development of the Zapoliarnoe gas-oil-condensate field (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area).
• 12/9/2002 - OAO Stroytransgaz and Corning Cable System GmbH &Co. KG, a subsidiary of the old American company Corning Incorporated, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on provision of telecommunication lines and facilities required for implementation of projects of oil and gas industry.
• 12/5/2002 - During the official visit to India of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin, in the framework of the Russian-Indian economic cooperation the consortium consisting of OAO Stroytransgaz and Essar Construction Ltd concluded a contract with Hy-Grade Pellets Ltd for construction of a slurry line 260 km long in the Indian state of Andra Pradesh.

November 2002

• 11/29/2002 - Today in the settlement of Urengoy (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area) a solemn ceremony on the occasion of commissioning of the Purtazovskaya compressor station (CS) took place.
• 11/27/2002 - OAO STROYTRANSGAZ has received an official invitation from the state Company SAUDI ARAMCO, the world’s largest oil producer, to start the registration procedure on the territory of Saudi Arabia.
• 11/20/2002 - OAO Stroytransgaz have completed the tests of the Russian onshore section of the Russia – Turkey main gas pipeline within the framework of the “Blue Stream” Project.
• 11/4/2002 - OAO Stroytransgaz together with the Indian company Gammon India Ltd. won the tender for construction of water pipeline in Chennai (Madras).

October 2002

• 10/23/2002 - Today at the construction of the main gas pipeline Russia – Turkey (“Blue Stream”) OAO Stroytransgaz has completed the process of pneumatic tests of section km 307 - km 370 from the Krasnodarskaya compressor station up to the Beregovaya compressor station in the Caucasus Mountains.
• 10/16/2002 - OAO Stroytransgaz the leading Russian company in the field of construction of pipelines and oil and gas development infrastructure and Saudi Ouge, the largest Saudi company, have signed Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation.
• 10/4/2002 - PJSC Stroytransgaz took part in the thirty sixth annual conference of the International Pipeline and Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA) that took place at Bermudas on September 23-28.
• 10/1/2002 - JSC “Stroytransgaz” has completed installation of the pipeline in two tunnel crossings in the Bezymianny mountain ridge 196 and 988 meters long at the construction of the Russia – Turkey gas pipeline (“Blue Stream”) in the Caucasus Mountains.

September 2002

• 9/30/2002 - JSC “Stroytransgaz” has commissioned the “Purtazovskaya” Compressor Station (CS) forming a part of the linear facilities of the Zapoliarnoe – Novyi Urengoy main gas pipeline.

August 2002

• 8/20/2002 - The gas feeding has started to the area of Purtazovskaya compressor station of the main pipeline of Zapoliarnoe - Noviy Urengoy for the purpose of complex testing all the compressor station systems in the course of starting operations and setting-up works at this compressor station constructed by JSC STROYTRANSGAZ.
• 8/19/2002 - The JSC ''Stroytransgaz'' and "Essar Construction LTD", Indian "Essar Group" subsidiary company, have signed a memorandum of consent and cooperation within the framework of which the consortium has been created for the common work of both companies in the field of different sites construction on the territory of India and neighbour countries of the Middle East.
• 8/14/2002 - JSC Stroytransgaz has completed laying process of the pipeline 1220 mm in diameter in the tunnel crossing 2082 meters long in the Kobyla ridge in the Caucasus Mountains at the construction of the main gas pipeline Russia-Turkey (“Blue Stream”).
• 8/6/2002 - When performing automatic welding of pipes 863 mm in diameter with the CRC-Evans welding unit at the construction of the Haud-El-Hamra – Arzev oil pipeline in Algeria specialists of JSC “Stroytransgaz” have set a record for labour productivity by welding 251 joints during a shift whereas under normal rate of welding the company’s operators weld only 120-130 joints.

July 2002

• 7/31/2002 - JSC Stroytransgaz has overcome the last obstacle beneath a waterway at the construction of the Russia-Turkey main gas pipeline (“Blue Stream”) having installed a crossing under the river of Ubin not far from the settlement of Severskaya in Krasnodar area.
• 7/24/2002 - JSC “Stroytransgaz” has completed construction of a section of the “Yamal-Europe” main gas pipeline from the “Smolenskaya” compressor station (CS) to the river of Berezina with the total length of 251 km of which 57 km run along the territory of Russia and 184 km along the territory of Byelorussia.
• 7/23/2002 - Specialists of JSC “Stroytransgaz” have completed testing by using a stress-test method of the Russian section of the Russia-Turkey main gas pipeline (“Blue Stream”) from km 0 to km 56 in Stavropol area.
• 7/16/2002 - JSC Stroytransgaz has concluded a contract with the administration of Chukot Autonomous Area for laying of 20 kilometers of the KL-35 KV cable on onshore section of the Anadyr heat-electric generation plant from the settlement of Ugolny Kopy to the airport (Chukot Autonomous Area).
• 7/15/2002 - JSC Stroytransgaz has completed installation of a crossing under the river of Sukhoy Log near the settlement of Tbilisskaya in Krasnodar area on the main gas pipeline route Russia-Turkey (“Blue Stream”).
• 7/9/2002 - Specialists of JSC “Stroytransgaz” have drilled 500 meters of the design 6.5 kilometers of the 1st North-Astrakhan well in the North-Astrakhan area of the Astrakhan region.
• 7/9/2002 - JSC “Stroytransgaz” has won a tender for construction of a stomatological polyclinic to receive 120 patients a day in the settlement of Mezhdurechensk of Kondinsk region of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area.

June 2002

• 6/28/2002 - JSC “Stroytransgaz” and the administration of Altay area have concluded an agreement on long term cooperation on realization of the program of social and economic development of the region.
• 6/27/2002 - JSC “Stroytransgaz” has completed construction of the second stage of boosting compressor station №2 at the Yamburg gas-oil-condensate field on the North of the Tiumen region. The total capacity of the station makes up 96 MW.
• 6/25/2002 - JSC “Stroytransgaz” has completed installation of crossings under the rivers of Chelbas and Kochety-2 in the Krasnodar area at the main gas pipeline Russia – Turkey (the “Blue Stream” Project).
• 6/25/2002 - Today JSC “Stroytransgaz” starts drilling of the first exploratory well 2 500 meters deep at the Zubtsov district of the Belsk region of the Tver area with the aim to investigate the prospects of gas-and-oil bearing capacity of the region.
• 6/21/2002 - JSC “Stroytransgaz” have successfully completed testing of a second line of the Zapoliarnoe – Urengoy gas pipeline, section km 65-166.7, in West Siberia where for the first time in the world practice pneumatic technology of testing of pipelines was used in permafrost conditions by using boosters for the purpose.
• 6/20/2002 - The specialists of JSC Stroytransgaz have completed internal installation works of the tunnel crossing in the Kobyla ridge in the Caucasus Mountains and started installation of the pipe string.
• 6/18/2002 - JSC “Stroytransgaz” has completed installation of a major underwater river crossing (river Berezina, Republic of Byelorussia) on the linear part of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline at section km 335-586. Installation of this river crossing was carried out by using traditional methods.
• 6/17/2002 - In Chukot Autonomous Area “Stroytransgaz” has completed laying of the linear part of the gas pipeline 219 mm in diameter and 104 km long
• 6/17/2002 - At present the Company “Stroytransgaz” is carrying out the works in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area
• 6/13/2002 - Today in the conference hall of JSC “Stroytransgaz” a regular meeting of the scientific and technical seminar was held with a theme “The Autoweld system for automatic welding of pipelines” with the participation of specialists of JSC “Stroytransgaz”, JSC “Gazprom”, Research Institute VNIIGAZ, the Russian State University named after I.M. Gubkin and representatives of the NorEast Services & Pipelines Company (Great Britain).
• 6/11/2002 - On 10th June 2002 a working meeting was held in the administration of Kosikhinsk region of Altay area on the question concerning completion of construction of the gas complex.
• 6/10/2002 - On 4th June the representatives of JSC “STROYTRANSGAZ” discussed the results of oil and gas prospecting with Mr. Alexander Tiagunov, the deputy of the Governor of the Tver region.

May 2002

• 5/28/2002 - Stroytransgaz has concluded a 1 year agreement with insurance company "Progress – Guarantor" on voluntary medical insurance (VMI).
• 5/23/2002 - Today there was an official opening of the construction of the Kenkiyak-Atyrau Oil Pipeline Project in Kazakhstan the general Contractor of which based on the results of the tender held is Stroytransgaz.
• 5/20/2002 - During four days from 14th through 17th May in the Russian Academy of the state department attached to the President of the Russian Federation and in the exhibition hall of the “Cosmos” Hotel the First Moscow International Festival of quality Managers was held.

April 2002

• 4/16/2002 - On April 16, 2002 Stroytransgaz has successfully completed the tunnel laying of 2082 m gas pipeline with diameter of 2.54 m in Caucasus Mountains at the construction of Russia - Turkey (Blue Stream Project) gas main.
• 4/12/2002 - At annual general meeting of shareholders of OAO Stroytransgaz, held on April, 12, 2002, the report on production, economic and financial activities of the Company from 01.01.2001 till 31.12.2001 has been authorized.
• 4/12/2002 - A number of organizational matters were also considered and elections took place into the Board of Directors
• 4/10/2002 - Today the management of JSC Stroytransgaz in the person of Mr. Gorelov Anatoly, First Vice President, and Mr. Mikhailov Alexander, governor of the Kursk oblast, signed a supplementary agreement to the treaty on cooperation in the field of agro-industrial sector of the region.

March 2002

• 3/22/2002 - By the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation from March, 21, 2002 N 175, for development and introduction of new technology of construction of oil and gas pipelines crossings through water obstacles by the method of horizontal-directional drilling a number of Stroytransgaz employees were awarded the Premium of the Government of the Russian Federation for achievements in science and technology.
• 2/28/2002 - On March 28 negotiations were held with the Ambassador of Republic of Angola in Russia Mr. Robert Leal Ramush Montejru on Company's participation in the development of oil and gas industries in the Republic of Angola.
