During four days from 14th through 17th May in the Russian Academy of the state department attached to the President of the Russian Federation and in the exhibition hall of the “Cosmos” Hotel the First Moscow International Festival of quality Managers was held. The sponsors of the Festival were: the administration of the city of Moscow, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, a group of firms “Intercertifica” and a number of other state institutions and organizations. At the opening of the Festival some 360 persons from different parts of Russia have arrived being the representatives of more than 180 enterprises and firms as well as organizations engaged in certification procedures and consulting services in the field of quality. The following experts were the participants of JSC “Stroytransgaz” in the work of the Festival: Mr. Valery Zemliansky the manager of the quality control Department of construction and industrial products, Mr. Valery Krutov the chief process engineer of the same Department, Mrs. Elena Kalashnikova the quality manager of the Krasnodar affiliate, Mr. Victor Gaiduk the chief of the pipeline construction Department of the Minsk Representation Office, Mr. Artem Lange the deputy chief of the Dispatch Control and Analytical Department. Based on the assessments of the quality managers of JSC “Stroytransgaz” the “master- classes” and “round-tables” of the Festival allowed one to specify the stages of elaboration and introduction of documentation for the forthcoming recertification of ISO 9001:2000, to exchange opinions and experience with the leading experts of companies and authorities dealing with certification procedures concerning different sections of the ISO 9000:2000 Standards.
