JSC “Stroytransgaz” and the administration of Altay area have concluded an agreement on long term cooperation on realization of the program of social and economic development of the region.
The first project to be constructed by “Stroytransgaz” within the framework of the signed agreement will be the Biysk – Belokurikha branch line from the Novosibirsk – Barnaul main gas pipeline. In accordance with the preliminary survey the length of this gas branch line will make up 90 km. It has been envisaged to construct three or four additional branch lines on the route of this gas branch line to provide “blue fuel” for six regions of Altay area. The government program proves the social significance of this project and based on this program provision of Altay area with gas is one of the major tasks to be completed before 2005. “Stroytransgaz” as a subcontractor has a vast experience on provision of this region with gas. In this project the Company will act in the role of general contractor of the construction works.
