OAO Stroytransgaz together with the Indian company Gammon India Ltd. won the tender for construction of water pipeline in Chennai (Madras).
The Customer of the project is Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. The total length of the water transmission main is 114 km of which according to the design 94 km are of pipes 1875 mm in dia. and 20 km are of pipes 1500 mm in dia. The total contract sum makes up about $70 million US dollars. The assumed period of construction is 18 months. During the next month a contract will be signed for construction of this project. Construction of this water pipeline is the first project of OAO Stroytransgaz received this year in India.
