Today in the settlement of Urengoy (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area) a solemn ceremony on the occasion of commissioning of the Purtazovskaya compressor station (CS) took place. This compressor station was constructed by OAO Stroytransgaz as a part of linear facilities of the Zapolyarnoye – Novy Urengoy main gas pipeline.
Alexander Kapnik, the Vice-President of OAO Stroytransgaz, on behalf of the general contractor on construction of the Purtazovskaya compressor station handed over a symbolic key to the Client – OOO Surgutgazprom represented by Igor Ivanov, the chief engineer, and Mikhail Karnaukhov, the manager of the Purtazovskaya industrial site. On the occasion of successful commissioning of the first shop of the Purtazovskaya compressor station including a living camp complex for rotation change of personnel for the Zapolyarnoye – Urengoy gas pipeline systems, Stroytransgaz presented honorary diplomas and conferred memorable medals on the best builders “To the Participant of the Development of the Zapolyarnoye Field” of grade I, II and III. The Purtazovskaya compressor station built in the Arctic climatic conditions is considered as one of the most complicated compressor stations. In the course of its construction the specialists of OAO Stroytransgaz had to solve many technical, technological, transport and organizational problems in severe geoclimatic conditions (with the ambient temperature being minus 35o C and below). Construction of the Purtazovskaya compressor station is another evidence of a high professional level and experience of the specialists of OAO Stroytransgaz who allow the Company to achieve efficient results at any geographical latitudes. As it was informed earlier 6 turbo units with a total capacity of 96 MW were installed at the Purtazovskaya compressor station. The total capacity of the compressor station makes up 30-40 billion cubic meters of gas a year. Present at the solemn ceremony of commissioning of the compressor station were: representatives of the Government and the State Duma of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, heads of local administrations, delegations of OAO Gazprom, OAO Stroytransgaz and their subsidiaries, affiliates, subcontractors of Stroytransgaz, representatives of mass media.
