The Joint-Stock Company "STG - Petroleum", a subsidiary of the Joint-Stock Company "Stroytransgaz - Oil ", has received a license for geological survey with the aim to carry out exploration and estimation of fields of hydrocarbons at the North Vyintoisk section of Yamalo-Nenetsk Autonomous Area.
The North Vyintoisk section is located 20 km to the south-east of the town of Noyabrsk – a major centre of the Russian oil industry with advanced social and industrial infrastructure. The section borders on the already explored oil fields and has a similar geological structure. This fact allows one to state about the exploration of hydrocarbons in this area as having prospects. The Joint-Stock Company "STG - Petroleum" was established for implementation of oil and gas projects in Western Siberia at the beginning of 2003.
