OAO Stroytransgaz has concluded a contract with the Marubeni Corporation of Japan for the purchase of special machinery of new generation for the development of oil and gas industry to the amount of 4.8 million US dollars.

According to the signed agreement the fleet of machinery of OAO Stroytransgaz will be increased in number with a new lot of bulldozers, excavators, loaders of the Japanese firm of Komatsu, cranes of the German firm of Demag as well as with unique repair equipment of the Japanese firm of Maruma. This new construction equipment and machinery will be used for the development of gas and oil fields and for construction of pipelines. The end of April is the estimated time of delivery. Business relations between OAO Stroytransgaz and Marubeni Corporation were established in 1997. During the last five years the Japanese company supplied 332 pieces of machinery to the amount of 130 million US dollars. At present Stroytransgaz is in possession of the largest fleet of machinery for construction and operation of pipeline systems and facilities of oil and gas production in Russia. The total number of the machinery exceeds 1000 pieces and this allows the Company to participate successfully in implementation of oil and gas projects of any complexity. Furthermore it is a practice with Stroytransgaz to lend and lease the construction equipment and machinery.
