The First Vice-President of OAO Stroytransgaz Evgueny Lavrentiev delivered a speech at the Second session of the International Pipeline Forum “Development of pipeline systems within the framework of energy strategy of Russia”.
In his speech Evgueny Lavrentiev pointed out the possibility of combining oil and gas pipeline systems in one transport corridor of Eastern Siberia which in his opinion allows one to optimize the costs for the transportation infrastructure. In his opinion “we have to do the utmost in order not to lose the markets of the Asia - Pacific area”. Besides, the First Vice-President drew the attention of the audience to the fact regarding the use of high potential of OAO Stroytransgaz in the development of pipeline systems in Russia.
For the second year running the International Pipeline Forum is held in Moscow in the hotel “Renaissance”. The Forum is held under the aegis of the State Duma and Federal Council of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Federal Energy Commission of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Builders of Oil and Gas Industry and Industrial Guild of the pipeline construction industry.
Similarly as last year at the meeting of the Forum the problems concerning construction of the pipelines, the possible variants of their solution and ways of rallying the efforts of the state, Russian companies and foreign investors concerning the priorities of the development of pipelines and further prospects of the oil and gas industry.
The representatives of leading oil and gas production, pipeline construction, scientific, design, engineering, construction and servicing companies, steel plants, banks, investment and international energy organizations took part in the session of the Forum.
