OAO Stroytransgaz has completed the development of the Verkhne-Salatsk oil field being a part of the Yuzhno-Myldzhinsk group of fields (Tomsk region).
The Customer of the project is ZAO Tomskaya Neft, a subsidiary of ZAO Rossiysky Neftianoy Export.
Stroytransgaz started the development of the oil field in January 2003.
At present a trial operation of the field is being carried out. This includes complex trials of the equipment and systems of the central oil gathering and treatment unit. The hydrocarbon produced has already been delivered to the reservoir of the central oil gathering and treatment unit with a capacity of about 500 thousand tons of the recoverable reserves of oil a year. The development and operation of the Verkhne-Salatsk oil field will allow one to stabilize fuel and energy situation in Tomsk region and at the same time it will expand the raw materials base of the oil and gas complex of Russia.
For reference:
The Verkhne-Salatsk oil field was discovered in 1967 not far from Yuzhno-Myldzhinsk field and it is related to the class of minor fields. The total reserves of oil of category C1 of the Verkhne-Salatsk oil field make up 14 million tons. However exploration of the field has not been completed in full yet. For the time being there is not enough initial data for estimation of the oil reserves and elaboration of a technological flow sheet of the field development.
