At the first meeting of a new Board of Directors which took place after the annual stockholders' meeting of OAO Stroytransgaz Mr. Ernest Ervald was elected the chairman.
Ernest Teodorovitch Ervald was born on January 23, 1940 in Chelyabinsk.
In 1962 Mr. Ervald graduated from the Chelyabinsk polytechnic university and acquired profession in the sphere of industrial and civil engineering. In 1987 he graduated from the Academy of national economy under the Council of Ministers of the USSR.
Mr. Ervald has been working in OAO Stroytransgaz since 1992. Since 1993 – vice-president, since 1996 – first vice-president of the Company.
Mr. Ervald took part in the following projects: construction of the gas main Yamal-Europe, construction of systems of booster compressor stations of Yamburg and Urengoi oil and gas condensate fields, implementation of the program Tragaz on reconstruction and technical re-equipment of compressor stations in Perm and Tyumen regions, gasification of Orel and Astrakhan regions, realization of the Blue Stream project on transportation of gas from Russia to Turkey (onshore section of the gas pipeline), construction of Zapolyarnoe oil and gas condensate field.
