The top managers of OAO Stroytransgaz the First Vice-President Evgeny Lavrentiev and Vice-President Andrey Ermokhin as official guests participated in the ceremony of opening of the National exhibition of Kazakhstan in Moscow held during the period from 14 through 17 August 2003 at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre in Moscow.

The exhibition has been arranged within the framework of the Year of Kazakhstan in Russia.

At the exhibition Evgeny Lavrentiev and Andrey Ermokhin visited the expositions of the leading Kazakh oil and gas companies and held negotiations with the representatives of the administration of Kyzylorda oblast regarding provision of gas supply for the oblast centre. The Dputy Head of the administration of the region (Akim) Mr. Serik Retaev noted that “today it is the most significant socio-economic project for the region. Thanks to transportation of natural gas to Kyzylorda a new gas-turbine station will be constructed and this will reduce much the cost of heat supply and will cut the cost value of the energy of the town as a whole”.

Starting from the year 2001 Stroytransgaz is taking an active part in the works executed in Kazakhstan. The start point of the activities of the company in this neighboring country was the project on modernization of the accounting system of the gas consumption for the users of Shymkent. In May last year Stroytransgaz won a tender for construction of the first sovereign oil pipeline Kenkiyak-Aturay in the Republic of Kazakhstan and in March this year the line was commissioned and transportation of oil was started.
