OAO Stroytransgaz has successfully completed the construction of Starting Unit 2 for Complex Gas Treatment Facility (CGTF-2) at the Zapolyarnoye Field, which is one of the largest gas condensate fields in Western Siberia.

Putting into operation Starting Unit 2 of CGTF-2 will provide for the increase in gas production up to 16 billion cubic meters per year. Meanwhile the total “blue fuel” produced at the Zapolyarnoye Field will come to 67.5 billion m3 yearly.

The Project Client is OOO Yambourgdobycha, OAO Gazprom affiliate.

CGTF-2 was constructed by OAO Stroytransgaz Group constituent companies, namely OAO Arkticneftegazstroy, OAO Sibkomplektmontadz, OAO Neftegazspetzstroy, OAO Severgazstroy, two Stroytransgaz offices in Urengoy, and over fifteen subcontractors. Generally the Zapolyarnoye Field development includes construction of three Complex Gas Treatment Facilities the total capacity to come to 100 billion cubic meters per year. Stroytransgaz completed CGTF-1C with the capacity of 35 billion m3 per year in September 2001.

The approved Construction Plan for Facilities 1 and 2 provides for phase-by-phase consequent construction of Starting Units 1 and 2. Starting Unit 1 was accepted by the Client in December 2002.

The CGTF-1C and CGTF-2C that are operational at the moment have been constructed in full compliance with existing construction quality standards. The facilities are furnished with the most up-to-date automatic, teleautomatic, and fire safety systems. The capacity of the facilities is about to be the highest in the world.

Stroytransgaz plans to complete the first Starting Unit for CGTF-3C this December.
