OAO Stroytransgaz has completed construction of the second stage of booster compressor station №7 with a total capacity of 96 megawatt at the Yamburg gas-oil condensate field (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area).
The booster compressor station has six turbine units with a capacity of 16 megawatt each. This is already the ninth compressor station constructed by OAO Stroytransgaz at one of the major gas production fields in the North of Russia. By commissioning this compressor station additional gas production will be increased by 4-5 billion m3 a year and the quality characteristics of the transported product have considerably improved.
The Customer of the project is OOO Yamburggazdobycha a subsidiary of OAO Gazprom.
The Subcontractors of OAO Stroytransgaz at the construction of the booster compressor station are OAO Arktikneftegazstroy, OAO Sibkomplektmontazh, ZAO MiR, Urengoy affiliate № 2 of OAO Stroytransgaz.
During the first quarter of 2004 OAO Stroytransgaz is planning to complete construction of the last booster compressor station of the second stage at the Yamburg complex gas treatment unit № 4.
Reference
The total reserves of the Yamburg gas-oil condensate field are estimated at 7 trillion cubic meters of gas. The first gas from the field was delivered into the unified gas mains system in 1986. As of today more than 50% of the reserves of the raw material in its central part have already been recovered.
Construction of the booster compressor station enables one to maintain at the field the estimated gas production level: the booster compressor stations of the first stage allow one to stabilize gas pressure at the production fields where its pressure is being reduced to 56 atm., the booster compressor stations of the second stage are operating at still more low pressure which is equal to 45 atm.
