OAO Stroytransgaz in consortium with its engineering subsidiary STG-International GmbH has won the tender for construction of a section of the oil pipeline Melut Basin Oil Development Project in Sudan, 366 km long.
One of the leading oil companies of Sudan Petrodar Operating Co. is the Owner of the oil pipeline Melut Basin Oil Development Project.
The total route length is 1380 km, 32 inches in diameter.
The oil pipeline will connect the Melut Basin field situated close to the town of Palouge to the port of Sudan permitting outlet to the Red Sea.
The throughput capacity of the trunk line will make up 200 000 barrels of oil a day.
This Project has been divided by the Owner in four parts - sections A1, A2, B1 and B2.
The consortium OAO Stroytransgaz will implement construction of Section A2 from Pump station #2 to Pump station #4 in Khartoum-city.
As it was mentioned by the Owner, the technical proposal of Stroytransgaz was among the best. During the negotiations on the Contract awarding the Owner pointed to a high level of availability of machinery and equipment of the Company, as well as its experience in construction of the pipeline facilities.
The Contract was concluded on the EPC terms. The term of realization is 12 months.
Stroytransgaz proposes to start the welding and installation works at the beginning of next September.
At present the specialists of OAO Stroytransgaz are selecting the stuff and shipping the construction machines and equipment.
