OAO Stroytransgaz has completed Construction of the Last Second Stage Booster Compressor Station (BCS) № 4 with Total Installed Capacity of 96 Mw at Yamburg GOGCF (Gas, Oil and Gas Condensate Field) in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area
BCS-4 has 6 turbine units with capacity of 16 MW each. This is already the tenth station, constructed by OAO Stroytransgaz at one of the major fields for gas production in the North of Russia. Its commissioning will enable to increase yearly production of gas by 4-5 bcm. The qualitative characteristics of transported gas are significantly improved at that.
The Owner of the construction is OOO Yamburggazdobycha, a subsidiary company of OAO Gazprom.
Subcontractors of OAO Stroytransgaz for construction of BCS are OAO Urengoygazstroymontazh, OAO Sibcomplektmontazh, ZAO MiR, the Urengoy affiliate № 2 of OAO Stroytransgaz.

The total gas reserves of GOGCF are evaluated at 7 tcm. The fist gas was put into the unified cross-country gas system in 1986. As of today over 50% of the gas reserves from ifs central part was recovered.
Construction of BCS enables to support the designed level of gas production at the field: the first stage BCS stabilize the gas pressure in the fields, where its level is decreased up to 56 bars; the second stage BCS work at even more lower pressure – 45 bars.
