At the 9th International Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan” that was held in Ashkhabad from 15 to 17 November, OAO Stroytransgaz demonstrated its possibilities in development of oil and gas market of the Republic.
Two conferences took place within the frames of the Exhibition: yearly international “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan” and Turkmen -Russian “Prospects for cooperation of Turkmenistan and Russia in the oil and gas industry”. At both forums OAO Stroytransgaz was represented by First vice president Leonid Bokhanovskiy and chief manager of foreign construction department Valery Kombarov. A number of meetings and negotiations were arranged by the Company’s personnel with representatives of local and western engineering, production and construction companies, during which the problems of mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed.
In OAO Stroytransgaz personnel opinion, rich experience of the Company in implementation of the projects of any complexity may have positive effect on development of Russian-Turkmen relations in the oil and gas field. The Company has at its disposal all necessary material and technical resources to take part in the project of the Government of Turkmenistan and OAO Gazprom for reconstruction of the oil and gas transport system of the Republic.
The Agreement between OAO Gazprom and the government of Turkmenistan on partnership in gas industry for the next 25 years, signed in April last year, increased the interest to the Exhibition on the part of the oil and gas community.
The oil business of Turkmenistan has great prospect: according to a new rating of the American Geological Service the Republic entered the first ten countries of the world, having displaced Kazakhstan.
The international specialized exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan” plays a considerable role in increasing the technological potential of the oil and gas industry of the Republic and expansion of business partnership with other countries.
Over 100 companies from 30 countries took part in the Exhibition this year.
The Exhibition was organized by the Ministry of oil and gas industry and mineral resources of Turkmenistan.
