In the framework of the official visit of the President of the Russian Federation to India, Victor Lorents, President of OAO Stroytransgaz, took part in the meeting of the leader of Russia and representatives of the Russian oil and gas companies with Mani Shankar Aiar, Minister of oil and natural gas of India.
At the meeting the Minister pointed to the efforts of OAO Stroytransgaz in the development of cooperation with Indian public and private companies with a view to implement construction projects for the pipeline transport facilities in different regions of India. He also wished that the participation in this sort of joint projects should be extended.
Summing up the results of the meeting Victor Lorents, President of OAO Stroytransgaz, pointed out that the negotiations with Mr. Aiar have confirmed once more that the Indian party is interested in a long term and mutually advantageous trade and economic partnership with Russia including development of oil and gas construction technologies. Mr. Aiar has agreed to take part in more detailed negotiations in OAO Stroytransgaz during his forthcoming visit to Moscow at the beginning of the next year.
