OAO Stroytransgaz concluded the first stage of gas supply to the city of Kyzylorda, the center of the region that socially, economically and ecologically is of one of the most complicated regions of RK.
The Client of the Project “Shift of Residential Sector of Kyzylorda to associated gas” is Kyzylorda Region Directorate of power infrastructure and mineral resources.
The gas supply to Kyzylorda shall become a base for opening of new works, production of competitive goods and, accordingly, of social and economic development of the region that is considerably lagging behind from the other regions of RK.
Ceremonial supply of the first gas to customers of the city’s districts Merey and Akmeshit was timed to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Stroytransgaz won the Tender for realization of the Project in May of 2004. Under the Contract Conditions the Russian Company as General Contractor worked out the necessary documentation, carried out the engineering and construction of high and low pressure gas pipeline using polyethylene pipes, systems of decentralized heat supply, provided delivery of equipment and constructed twenty five gas distribution points.
Apart from this Stroytransgaz carried out design and introduction of accounting system with use of up to date technologies, testing and start-up works, including commissioning of the Project and training of the maintenance personnel.
It is the first complex project of gas supply to residential area with use of associated gas in the history of Kazakhstan.
The complete Contract Obligations shall be concluded the first half of next year. The total length of the pipeline shall make up over 300 km, which means that low cost gas will be supplied to the houses of all inhabitants of Kyzylorda.
