OAO Stroytransgaz in Consortium with the Indian Company Gammon India Ltd. has concluded the project for extension of the waterway in India (the city of Chennai).

The Owner of the project is the Management for water supply and sewerage systems of Chennai’s municipality (Madras).

Being the Leader of the Consortium, OAO Stroytransgaz acted also as a management company and a technical manager.

The waterway is meant for extension of the water supply system for industrial facilities and population of Chennai.

The total length of the waterway is 228 km. The Consortium performed construction of 114 km section, including 92 km with OD 1980 mm and 22 km with OD 1534 mm. During implementation of the Project the following works were fulfilled; the supply and concreting of the pipe; supply of equipment; construction of 18 wells; construction of 400 m3 water tank erected at the height of 18 m; construction of metering unit and distribution point with a pumping station; construction of 5 river air crossings with the crossings’ length from 150 m to 700 m; construction of 3 closed rail-way crossings and 8 highway crossings.
