Syrian Gas Company has declared OAO Stroytransgaz the winner of the tender for 36" Arab Gas Pipeline Project.

According to the project gas pipeline with total extent of 324 km will pass from Jordan-Syrian border up to gas gathering station Al Rayan in Homs area.

The project includes linear part with four pig launching/receiving stations, 12 valve stations and fiscal metering station with daily capacity of 3 million cubic meters at Deir Ali power station.

The project will be executed on EPC basis. It provides designing, deliveries, including pipes, construction and start-up.

Implementation of the project is determined by the Customer and will consist of two Phases.

Phase I includes the construction of 90 km section up to Deir Ali power station and building of gas metering station.

During Phase II the construction of the pipeline with all accompanying facilities up to Al Rayan gathering station in Homs area will be completed.

SKADA systems, telecommunications, gas leak detection and firefighting systems, electrochemical protection and automatic control networks are also envisaged by the Project. In addition it provides deliveries of some supplementary equipment to the Customer.

The Project shall be implemented within 22 months.
