The main criteria for selection of contractors and suppliers were dealt with by Deputy Head of oil and gas construction department S.A.Letovaltsev in his presentation at the international conference “Service Market in Oil and Gas Industry of Russia: trends, opportunities, perspectives”, that was held October 25- October 26, 2005 in the Moscow International Trade Centre.
For 15 years of its activity OAO Stroytransgaz has accumulated a unique experience of participation in tender procedures for implementation of most various industrial and civil projects. The presentation of S.A.Letovaltsev concerned with pressing questions of development of domestic service market of oil and gas industry. Among them singled out could be those as carrying out transparent tender procedures, harmonization of technical conditions, environmental requirements and standards, as well as formation of healthy competition and expressly well-marked criteria of contractors’ selection. Concluding his presentation S.A.Letovaltsev expressed hope that Russian Owners would attend more carefully to the potential of the Russian Contractors that would give a considerable impact to development of services in the oil and gas sector of Russia and provide their high competitiveness abroad.
The conference “Service Market in Oil and Gas Industry of Russia: trends, opportunities, perspectives” was held for the third time. Its main goal is to establish a dialogue between the interested parties for creation of a strong service sector in Russia.
