PJSC Stroytransgaz completed welding and installation works at Arab Gas Pipeline in Syria

On July 1, 2007 PJSC Stroytransgaz completed welding and installation works at the linear part of 36”, 317 km Arab Gas Pipeline in Syria. The works we finished 7.5 months ahead of the schedule time.
The Project is carried out under the Contract between the Syrian Gas Company and PJSC Stroytransgaz on EPC conditions (engineering, procurement of pipes, Plant, materials and construction of the gas pipeline).

The Arab Gas Pipeline runs from the Jordan-Syria border up to the gas gathering station in the region of the Syrian city of Homs. 36”, 317 km gas pipeline is divided into two start-up complexes – 100 km and 217 km. Under the contract completion of the mechanical works is planned for September, 2007 and February, 2008 accordingly. The Project includes 11 line valve stations, 6 scraper launcher and receiver units, gas metering station, including branch lines to power stations of Deir Ali and Tishrin, and also SCADA, telecommunications, gas leak detection, fire fighting, cathodic protection, automatic control and instrumentation systems.
We congratulate the body of Project Management of Arab Gas Pipeline headed by Project Manager Victor Semeno, and also the team of main subcontractor Syrian company Heswani Co. "Hesco" headed by its General Manager D. Heswani with early termination of important stage of construction of the Project.
