OAO Stroytransgaz opened a branch in the city of Oudomlya, Tver region

On September 10, 2007 PJSC Stroytransgaz opened a branch in the city of Ydomlya, Tver region. The branch was established for performance of obligations under the project for construction of power generating unit No 4 at Kalinin nuclear power plant.
FGUP NIAEP is a general contractor of the project for enlargement of the plant.
Stroytransgaz as a primary subcontractor carries out construction and assembly works at installations of a start-up complex of energy block No 4, i.e. reactor compartment, turbine island, water pipelines, catch-water drains, etc. Electric power capacity of the unit under construction will make 1000 MW, heat power – 232 MW.
The project is realized within the federal target-oriented program Development of the Nuclear Energy Industry of Russia for 2007-2010 and the Future to 2015 against the order of the Federal Agency for Atomic Energy (Rosatom).

Kalinin nuclear power plant is located in Ydomlya district, Tver region, some 117 km to the northwest of Tver. Industrial site is located at the southern shore of the lake Ydomlya, which connects with the lake Pesvo. The lakes are used for technical water supply and cooling down of the facilities. The area of Kalinin nuclear power plant administratively and geographically is a part of Tver region and is located inside Ydomlya, Vyshnevolotsk, Maksatikhinsk and Lesnoy districts.
At present Kalinin nuclear power plant provides for over 60% of electric power, produced in Tver region.
