Stroytransgaz completed construction of the first start-up complex of the Arab gas pipeline

PJSC Stroytransgaz completed construction of the first start-up complex of the Arab gas pipeline in Syria. OD 36”; 139 km gas pipeline also includes gas pipeline branches to power stations Deir Ali and Tishrin with total length of 17 km.
The Owner of the Arab gas pipeline is the Syrian Gas Company. The Project is implemented on EPC conditions. The major subcontractors are OOO STG Engineering (engineering and procurement) and the Syrian construction Company Hesco.
Scope of works of the first start-up complex included installation of five line valve stations, four scraper launching/receiving stations, one gas fiscal metering station, SCADA System, telecommunications, gas leak detection system, fire fighting system, cathodic protection system, automatic control and instrumentation system, power supply system, and also construction of group of buildings and structures, provided for by the Contract.

The Arab Gas Pipeline (319 km, OD 36”) runs from the Jordan-Syrian border up to the gas gathering station Al Ryan near the Syrian city of Homs. Along the whole length the linear part of the gas pipeline is welded, laid down in the trench and tested. At present installation of valve stations is under way at the second 180 km start up complex.
The Project is being realized ahead of schedule. High pace of construction is facilitated by coordinated efforts of PJSC Stroytransgaz specialists and major subcontractors of the Project.
