Background
The term ЕРС/ЕРСМ derives from the English words engineering, procurement, construction, and management. It signifies a comprehensive approach to realizing large projects, such as construction of objects for the oil and gas industry, mining and extraction, power stations, and other industrial projects. The contractor – commonly called an ЕРС/ЕРСМ contractor – conducts the project as a turnkey operation: beginning with project engineering, purchasing and delivering the materials and equipment required for the project, completing construction work, and finishing with entry of the object into exploitation with guaranteed servicing.
