Stroytransgaz To Finish Construction of Skovorodino Pumping Station

Stroytransgaz is finishing the construction and installation works of the Skovorodino pumping station (SPO) at the terminus of the first line of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean oil pipeline (ESPO).
Stroytransgaz is a general contractor of SPO. The station is situated near Bolshoy Never village, Skovorodinsk Rayon of Amur Oblast. At the first phase of the project the station capacity will reach 30 million tonnes of oil annually. It will reach 80 million tones of oil annually after the development of ESPO. The facility’s working pressure is 10 MPa.
A tank farm with six reservoirs each having capacity to store 50,000 cubic meters of oil, three reservoirs each having capacity to store 5,000 cubic meters, and five supplementary oil storage tanks has been constructed. Hydro testing of the facilities is continuing.
The welding and installation of over 4.5-kilometer process pipelines has been finished. Over 32-kilometer fire extinguishing, water supply and sewerage systems, and water conduits is being installed. The installation of metal structures and enclosure panels of area maintenance building, fire station, fire pump station, boiler-house, covered park place, electrical substation, etc., is being finished. More than 3 000 tons cable racks are being assembled. Cable and utility networks, floodlight towers and lightning rods are under construction.
SPO start-up is scheduled for the IV quarter of 2009.
