Stroytransgaz Signs Contract for BPS-2 Facilities

Stroytransgaz has signed a general contract with Transneft for the construction of BPS-2 oil pipeline section and intermediate pumping station No7 at the terminal point of the section. BPS-2 capacity will reach 30 million tonnes of oil annually.

The 190.1-kilometre pipeline section with the diameter of 1,067 millimeters will be laid via the territory of the Novgorod Oblast. Intermediate pumping station No7 will be located in 40 kilometers from Veliky Novgorod.

In addition to the line part of the pipeline construction, the contract included construction of 74 pipeline’s crossings over rivers, highways, railways and communication lines, 5 inline and 8 riverside valves, a launching and receiving unit, a 10-kV electric power line along the pipe section, and building and installing all pumping facilities: trunk pumping station, cable racks, process pipelines, fire extinguishing systems, water supply and sewage systems, administrative facilities, helicopter pad, etc.
