Stroytransgaz Remains the Best among Russian Contractors

Stroytransgaz remains the only Russian company that participates in rankings of the international journal Engineering News-Record along with such leaders of construction and engineering market as AMEC and Petrofac (Great Britain), Saipem (Italy), KBR, Willbos, Bechtel and AkerSolutions (USA), GAMA (Turkey), TECHNIP (France).
Based on the results of the construction activity in 2008, Stroytransgaz was ranked:
- 141th in the category of 225 Top Global Contractors
- 111th in the category of 225 Top International Contractors
In spite of the challenging financial situation Stroytransgaz continually strengthens its positions and expands its presence in international markets. The participation in the international projects facilitates the development of Stroytransgaz as an international engineering and construction company and serves as advantage in the competitive struggle for foreign projects.
In 2008 Stroytransgaz added to its contract portfolio a contract with Dolphin Energy Ltd for the construction of Taweelah—Fujairah gas pipeline in the UAE, becoming the only Russian contractor operating in the country. STG has been proceeding with its activities in the oil and gas market of Greece. A contract between Stroytransgaz and DESFA S.A. for the construction of the compressor station along the Kulata—Athens main gas pipeline was signed in 2008. In Saudi Arabia the second contract for the development of gas fields was signed. Stroytransgaz successfully continues to implement projects in Algeria, India, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Finland.
