Potential

The industrial engineering journal Potential was founded by Stroytransgaz and Gazprom to provide objective information on issues facing the oil and gas construction industry and the fuel and energy complex.

Yuri Petrovich Batalin, one of the founders of Russia‘s fuel and energy complex and senior advisor to the president of Stroytransgaz, is patriarch and constant editor-in-chief of Potential. Igor Leonidovich Pirinov is Potential‘s deputy editor-in-chief.

The journal publishes material of scientific, technical, and economic nature specific to the oil and gas construction industry and the fuel and energy complex. It addresses industry-related problems in protecting the environment and ensuring industrial safety. There are articles on the history of the sectors‘ development. The pages of the journal are always open to leading specialists who wish to comment on publications or events in the industry or share their knowledge with colleagues.

The first issue of the journal was published in 1998.
