Russia inks agreement to settle Soviet-era debt to Macedonia

St. Petersburg, Jun 21 (Prime-TASS) – Russia has concluded an agreement to settle the Soviet-era debt to Macedonia.

The agreement was signed on June 19 during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Russia is expected to supply goods and services worth a total of U.S. $76 million to Macedonia, including $60 million to discharge the debt, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Dmitry Pankin said. He named Russian engineering company Stroytransgaz among the companies that will fulfill contracts stipulated by the agreement.
