Stroytransgaz contribution to Russian-Indian cooperation

On the 17th of November, 2011, the 16th meeting of the Russian-Indian Working Group on Energy and Energy Efficiency took place in Moscow.

The Russian working group was headed by D.M. Belen'ky, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation; the Indian counterparts were represented by Vivek Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Indian Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Stroytransgaz representatives took part in the meeting.

During the discussion of Russian-Indian cooperation aspects the participants expressed their concern in the further strengthening of mutual relations, including the energy sector.

The parties were satisfied with Stroytransgaz and Indian companies' cooperation in pipeline construction. It was noted that Stroytransgaz had successfully carried out East-West, Baruch-Jamnagar, Vijaipur-Dadri gas pipelines. In turn Stroytransgaz expressed its intention to expand the activity in the Indian power grid market.
