GK-1 (Ouled Djellal–Skikda)
In 2006 Stroytransgaz began reconstruction of the GK-1 gas pipeline for Algerian national company SONATRACH. The project is being realized on EPC terms. STG Engineering will carry out the complex of work for design and procurement.
The project calls for reconstruction of several sections of pipeline covering 145 kilometers and having diameter of 40 inches. Stroytransgaz will also construct a new five-kilometer section in the industrial zone in Skikda with above-ground facilities and auxiliary systems (SCADA, telecommunications, cathodic protection, and instrumentation).
The project has to be completed in 2008.
