Bailadila-Vizankhapatnam sludge pipeline
In December 2002, within the framework of a Russian-Indian economic cooperation program, Stroytransgaz and Essar Construction Ltd. concluded a contract with Hу-Grade Pellets Ltd. for the construction of a 260-kilometer iron ore slurry pipeline in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
The pipeline was designed to transport iron ore in slurry from an ore mining and processing interprise in the city of Bailadila to a metallurgical factory in the city of Vizakhapatnam.
In accordance with terms of the contract, Stroytransgaz managed the project and furnished special heavy construction equipment. Hу-Grade Pellets Ltd. financed construction.
The project was completed in 18 months.
