Yuri Korchagin oil field
In 2006, at the request of LUKOIL, Stroytransgaz began work on a project to construct the technological complex for the offshore ice-resistant platform LSP-1, which will be used to develop the Yuri Korchagin field. The field is located in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea. Annual oil production from the field is planned at 2.2 million tons and natural gas at 2.4 billion cubic meters.
Stroytransgaz subsidiary STG Engineering is to prepare detail design and as-build documentation, ensure procurement, and manage construction for the LSP-1’s exploitation-technological and energy complex. Length and width will be 95.5x72.2 meters, heigth some 90 meters. Weigth 15,500 tons.
The platform will be equipped for zero discharge technology, fully excluding impact on the environment. The LSP-1 will be installed at the field in 2009.
