Omsk-Irkutsk oil pipeline
Stroytransgaz reconstructed the Omsk-Irkutsk oil pipeline in order to increase its shipping capacity. Work was done in 2006.
As part of realizing the contract, the company completed construction-assembly work totaling 220 kilometers along two sections of the oil pipeline totaling. The pipeline’s diameter is 720 millimeters. Krasnodarstroytransgaz disassembled and assembled pipeline, removed cable, and set up electro-chemical protection. Using horizontal drilling, it built three railroad crossings and 27 motor road crossings.
The harsh continental climate of the region and the necessity for conducting 24 kilometers of work in a single corridor with the Aleksandrovskoe-Andzhero-Sydzhensk oil pipeline complicated the project.
Reconstruction increased the capacity of the oil pipeline to 30 million tons per year.
