Salym Group of fields

In 2004 Stroytransgaz concluded its first general contract with Salym Petroleum Development N.V. for development of the Salym Group of fields—the Zapadno-Salym, Verkhnee-Salym, and Vadelynskoye fields in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug in Tyumen Oblast. The company’s successful completion of the first contract for construction of pipelines and multiple-well platforms led to new contracts with completion dates extending to 2010.

Since the beginning of 2005, Stroytrangaz has built more than 90 kilometers of oil gathering networks and high-pressure water pipelines, a 36-kilometer oil pipeline from the Verhknee-Salym field, and eight multiple-well platforms.

Poorly developed infrastructure, extreme continental climate, and water-logged sites complicate construction work.
