Vankor oil field
In 2007 Stroytransgaz as the general contractor began work for Vankorneft to develop the Vankor oil field, which is designed to reach production of 25 million tons of oil per year, and associated facilities.
The project will be realized in three stages. In the first stage, Stroytransgaz will construct temporary structures for preparation and pumping of oil via pipeline. The work will include building part of the UPSV-Yug preliminary water removal unit, stoves for heating oil at OPS-1, oil and gas flowlines totaling 120 kilometers, and other objects. Construction of temporary living camp and associated facilities to house 1,800 people is also anticipated.
In the second stage of work, Stroytransgaz will build objects for the central gathering point: the main pumping station, a high-pressure gas compressor station to re-inject gas into the reservoir, a gas dehydration unit, and a chemicals storage facilities. The company will construct clusters of water supply wells and complete the UPSV-Yug. It will build OPS-1 as a turnkey operation. That facility will be located at the 175-kilometer point of the pipeline.
The first and the second stage are scheduled for completion in 2012.
