Krasnenkoe-Rashkovo gas pipeline branch

In 2004 Stroytransgaz concluded a contract to build the Krasnenkoe-Rashkovo gas pipeline branch in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The contract called for turnkey completion of the project. The length of the branch is 30 kilometers, its diameter―219 millimeters. Tiraspoltransgaz was project customer.

The gas pipeline would supply gas from the Ananev-Chernovits-Bogorodchany main pipeline to consumers in the city of Kamenka, Kamensky Region―the only region in Pridnestrovie entirely without gas supply―and several residential areas in Rybnitsky Region. Along with building the linear portion of the gas pipeline, the project required laying fiber-optical cable for a telemechanical system, assembling radio communications equipment, and constructing two automatic gas distribution stations, the Rashkovo and Vadul-Turkului stations, for future extension of gas supply in Pridnestovie’s northern regions.

The route of the gas pipeline branch traversed hollow-hogbacked areas and intersected 53 natural or man-made obstacles with several deeply cut ravines, water barriers, motor roads, and underground collectors.

The project was completed in 2004.
